We've been in Bhagsu for nearly two weeks. It's such a small place that we've eaten in pretty much every restaurant and looked in every shop there is. It's safe to say we now feel as though we are beginning to fit in.
Most of our time has been spent walking, talking, reading and relaxing. It's been a really great chance to recharge the batteries.
Kara will now update you better to what the place is really like and probably disagree with what I have all that I have put...
It is such a small place that I think we have begun to be recognised. The other day at volunteering one Monk said that he had seen us in the street so maybe we're not blending in as much as we think?! As well as reading and eating we have been doing some impromtu treks. The size of the walk increases as we invariably get lost on the way to somewhere and end up hiking up hills to try to get orientated! Some great views though!
One of our favourite places has become the waterfall near where we are staying. When we can be bothered to walk up the hundreds (thousands?!) of steps the reward is a very pretty, frezzing waterfall and pool. Bhagsu gets Indian daytrippers and they swim in the outdoor pool which is so cold. Very impressive! The weather is still gorgeous but gets chilly in the evenings.
Thank you for following us, hope you're well, Loadsa Love Kara and John xx
