Finally a Toucan! Please follow the link...

Howdy everyone,

We hope everyone is doing well! We have two weeks in Costa Rica left and the pressure is off, we have seen not only 1 toucan but 4, all in one go! They were just like London buses, you know wait for 1 and then eventually loads come at once!

A link to a great photo of the type of Toucan we saw is below-

This is the Toucan link!http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.avianweb.com/images/birds/CollaredAracari6.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.avianweb.com/collaredaracaris.html&usg=__L6SNharfisPTvy2DOFiHa7cowWU=&h=424&w=567&sz=253&hl=es&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=cSY6J80ea9jsxM:&tbnh=143&tbnw=196&ei=arKrTZ3jEcjj0gHT2_X5CA&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dyellow%2Bspot%2Btoucan%26hl%3Des%26biw%3D1024%26bih%3D602%26gbv%3D2%26tbm%3Disch&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=560&vpy=249&dur=604&hovh=194&hovw=259&tx=123&ty=70&oei=ta-rTfC-B-Hm0QGfyb2-Cw&page=1&ndsp=12&ved=1t:429,r:6,s:0

We have also seen loads more monkeys of many varieties! Our favourite is the howler monkey, which sounds amazing! It sounds like King Kong when it gets really loud, have a listen yourself -

Anyways, it was just a short entry, we are off from Manuel Antonio tomorrow to a place called Uvita.

Lots of love to everyone,
Kara and John xxxxxx

ps Sorry no photos, we are using a hostel computer which does not like our USB stick, but one thing the bugs here are the biggest we've seen and some are not so hot looking!

pps If the links do not work just google image a toucan or look at National Geograpic online they have the sounds/images for everything!

  1. Hi You Two,

I hope that you are both good today. I've just caught up on all of the pictures from your travels over the last couple of weeks and the places, wildlife and things that you have done look amazing! I wish that I could be chilling on the beach with you, though we have been lucky with the weather over here for the last few weeks.

Miss you both and looking forward to the next installment!

    Lots of love

  2. Hi there! The howler monkeys sound pretty scarey! and the toucans are beautiful. Had a look at Flutterby House, seen nothing like it before! Hope you both have a wonderful and very happy Easter.
