Amazing Amritsar!

Hi there,

We will be leaving Amritsar tomorrow to head to Dhramsala/Mcleod Ganj, but it has been a great experience here. Amritsar has been a friendly and beautiful place to visit, though the traffic is pretty crazy for such a small city!

We have seen the Sikh Golden Temple, the ceremony at the border between Pakistan and India and also Jallianwalla Bagh where the British once opened fire on peaceful protesters in 1919. The border ceremony was quite an occassion with thousands of people turning out to support their country and the guards putting on quite a show with high leg kicking similar to John Cleese's funny walk.

The people here are fantastic and all want to say hello! The children especially are a thrill just wanting to shake your hand and stare a little!

Hope you're all well, loadsa love Kara and John xx
